About us...

Roots & Wings Early Learning Center, LLC is affectionately called "The Mustard Seed" by owners Rob and Krista Sjostrand.  This project was "planted" on our hearts about 5 years ago.  We felt the urge to do something more for our community and for our family.  This project brings our professional careers together in a setting that encourages us to slow down, immerse ourselves in the wonders of God's creation, and support families as they grow.  

 

Rob has an extensive background in business, supply chain management and all things outdoors.  He is most excited to make adventure zones, participate in walking field trips, make maple syrup for the kids and plow big snow hills.  

 

Krista's background is in education.  With over 25 years of experience, and a particular passion for young learners, she is the hands-on director of Roots & Wings.  Krista is excited to let "nature do its thing" in the lives of children and will provide a wide array of authentic educational experiences for kids. 

 

We are honored to be considered as your child's "second home" during their most formative years.  We know how precious each child is and promise to always treat them as the gifts they are.  We look forward to partnering with you as we set roots so they can grow wings!
